About Us
Our academy offers the opportunity to become a top qualified Nursing Assistant with excellent preparation for becoming a STNA. Our dedicated RN’s have extensive teaching experience as well as various nursing experience in the Healthcare Profession, each certified to teach the STNA state tested curriculum.
In total, our instructors have a combined 60 plus years experience with a 98% State passing rate.
We are committed to teaching excellence which, in turn, gives each of our students the best opportunity to become a STNA, passing Ohio’s written and skills test.
Jane Zakrzewski, RN, BSN, has extensive experience in many areas of nursing. She has worked in the hospital setting in the following departments: ER, Step-Down ICU, Cardiac, Pulmonary, Rehabilitation, Medical-Surgical, Obstetrics and Pediatrics. Jane has extensive experience in every facet of Home Health Care with adults, children, Hospice and MRDD individuals. She has instructed RN students at local colleges and is a Certified Trainer for the STNA program in Ohio. Other positions held in her nursing career have included a Clinical Nurse Supervisor, Director of Nursing and Staff Nurse.
Cathy Sullivan, RN, has an extensive experience in many areas of nursing. She has worked in the hospital setting in various departments such as: Radiology, Vascular Radiology, Orthopedics, Gastro-Intestinal, Oncology, Pulmonary and Infectious Disease. Cathy has experience working in MRDD facilities. She has worked in Psychology and with Chemical Dependency in a Rehabilitation facility. Cathy has instructed students in MRDD courses, Medication Aide Programs and is a Certified Trainer for the STNA program in Ohio. Other positions held in her nursing career have included a Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, Supervisor and Staff Nurse.
Mary Ashbaucher, RN, has extensive experience in many areas of nursing. She has worked at Columbus Children's Hospital in the Neonatal ICU for many years. Mary has extensive experience in Home Health Care with adults, children and Hospice. She has worked in an Assisted Living Facility for several years. Mary has experience in community work with the Area Office on Aging as an assessor/screener for the P.A.S.S.P.O.R.T. Program. She is a CPR Instructor and is a Certified Trainer for the STNA program in Ohio. Other positions held in her nursing career have included a Director of Nursing, Supervisor and staff nurse.
